Broken Pencils

I remember having to sit at a table with two boys in grade 1. They always gave me a hard time for being a girl, but one day they decided to challenge me to a test of strength. I accepted the challenge. I succeeded. The pencil broke, and within the same second the teacher whipped my chair around to scold me for breaking it. My response was that I was still going to use it, which probably just sounded snarky. To this day I still don’t think I did anything wrong. Boys are dumb!

No Loose Hair

When I was a kid I had a thing about getting hair in my face. The solution was to wear my hair in a braid most of the time, and sometimes request impossibly tight braids to defeat the rogue hairs.

Childhood Memories

My earliest memory from my childhood is my 4th birthday, in which we had a party with cake and then I later didn’t understand or I forgot where the cake went. I distinctly remember being like “oh ya, that happened just a few hours ago”. Silly child I was! Enjoy the cake beast face :-]
